Update from Houston on Hurricane Harvey

An official communication on the state of the meetings infrastructure in Houston.

We are extremely appreciative and humbled by the overwhelming thoughts and well wishes from around the world. Fortunately our staff is safe and in good spirits.

As you have seen on the news, the George R. Brown Convention Center is acting as a temporary emergency shelter for those affected by Hurricane now Tropical Storm Harvey.

We wanted to share a few updates:

-Houston’s convention campus / Avenida Houston and surrounding hotels in downtown Houston sustained no damage.
-Both airports are expected to be operational by the end of the week.
-Most of our staff is working remote. We anticipate opening our office by the end of the week.
-Donation and volunteer information are available on www.GRBHouston.com and Facebook/Twitter.

We are so proud of our neighbors and leadership as they showcase the true Heart of Houston through these difficult times.

We will continue to send updates.

Thank you.
